So, remember way back in May... we decided to check out some things back in Williamsburg. Specifically, the MomentaArt Benefit 2010, and some Sheldon Walsmith paintings at Causey Contemporary. Well, our podcast discussing this work is now live so feel free to download it iTunes, and hopefully you were able to check out the work as well. Oh, and a special bonus this podcast is a sparkling interview with the one and only Rebecca Morgan, who just had a show at Gasser & Grunert. Enjoy!

Episode 10 is finally here, so download it in iTunes and check out a great discussion on Art of the Un-Gallery, and by that I mean this ever growing notion that it's cool to show work in bars, coffee shops, and even antique stores? Is it cool? Are we down? Hear our opinions for yourself. Also, we were graciously invited to the studio of Kevin Auzenne! He gave us a great interview and you can check out his work below. Download, listen, and give us your feedback! Email us at info@brooklynartalternative or Fan us on Facebook/Follow us on Twitter!

That's right, Episode 9 is finally here, so download it in iTunes and check out our discussion of some great painting shows in Brooklyn. We kept it completely within the borough this time, traversing Williamsburg and Bushwick and made some really great discoveries. Andy Piedilato had a great show at English Kills Art Gallery, and Graham Anderson's paintings at Klaus Von Nichtsaggend were equally impressive. And, of course, we had to weigh in on the final show at Jack the Pelican. Both Andy Piedilato and Graham Anderson shows our up until March 21, so hurry up and go see them! Then download, listen, and give us your feedback! Email us at info@brooklynartalternative or Fan us on Facebook/Follow us on Twitter!

Music for this podcast was provided by Brooklyn's own folk sensation, the Haven's! Their track Gowanus Canal set the perfect backdrop for our Brooklyn gallery excursion. Make sure to check out the rest of their music, then see them live at a local Brooklyn establishment near you!

So tell your friend who's in a band to send a link or an mp3 of their music to info@brooklynartalternative.com. So, after some discussion and Bob's rave review of a show at Danese in Chelsea, we will be discussing: Andy Harper - Recent Paintings and Works on Paper. The show is up until November 14, and Danese is located at 535 West 24th Street, just down the street from Metro Pictures, so you can check out this show and the Olaf Breuning show all at once. This change means we will be excluding our visit to PS1, but if you went ahead and saw that show, no worries, we might be discussing it on future podcasts. Oh, and stay tuned this upcoming week, for the release of Episode 6. We are tentatively planning to record the episode this Tuesday!
